Thema: Digi-Tec sw upgrade

Wurlie - 5.3.2004 um 14:46

Hello!
I apologize for using english, but I think that this will be interesting to you.
I spoke to Digi-Tec today, and they said that they can raise the power of the 82PS model to either 101PS or 107PS , depending on the original software!!!
Does anyone have any idea why? Is it related to the fact that some cars have had the software update at the SC?
Thanks for your ideas!!!
Best,
Wurlie

Probably this was a misunderstanding?
I can't imagine, that they mean different software, because there is just one original software per model-type.

I think they mean the initial performance of your own engine.
SW-Tuning for example also tells that the performance after tuning depends very much on the initial performance, which seems to vary a lot.
It depends on the treatment of the engine during the first km, on the actuator-setting (whatever that means) and on your luck of getting an unit of the upper limit of the spread

Regards!

Hi!
I know it is very unusual, and I asked the person at Digi-Tec to explain. He just said that simply there are two possible outputs. He also said that there is no point in changing the exhaust, as the original is the best for power output.
I don't think that different running in can account for such a big difference. Besides, he said that there are two distinct outputs, 101PS and 107PS.
I wonder what the real reasin might be.
I read through the archives but could not find a definite answer as to what the best way of running in is to maximise the power output. Can someone help?
Thanks a lot!
Wurlie
